Hello PA Home Educators,

Representative Moul introduced our bill HB 1217. We have 50 co-sponsors including Moul. Currently it is at the Education Committee(EDC).

While it is in the EDC, its Chairman James Roebuck will have to be willing to get the bill out for a vote in the committee. When he does, we want to get enough votes from other EDC members to get it out of the EDC.

In general, contact Rep. James R. Roebuck (jroebuck@pahouse.net). Ask him to get the bill out for a vote in the EDC without any amendments.

If you live in other EDC members' districts, ask them to support the bill by co-sponsoring it. Tell them the bill is in the EDC and it is necessary that they support the bill.

Let them know that you will be following up with it until the bill gets out of the EDC. Knowing the benefits of the bill before contacting them will be very helpful.

While our focus is on the EDC, we still need/want to have as many co-sponsors as possible from other representatives. The more support we have the better it is.
